AWS Cost Anomaly Detection extends coverage to monitor spend on third-party foundation models on Amazon Bedrock including Anthropic Claude.
Uses machine learning to detect unusual spend and provide root-cause breakdowns ranked by dollar impact across AWS service, account, Region, and usage type.
Evaluates model costs automatically through AWS managed service monitors with no setup required.
Available in all AWS commercial regions except AWS GovCloud and China Regions.

AWS IAM now supports 20 managed policies per role by default

Administrators can now more easily implement security best practices or add third-party partner products without undergoing a request process for additional policy slots.

AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) increased the default quota for managed policies per role from 10 to 20.
Reduces the need to make Service Quotas requests when following IAM best practices such as separating permissions into purpose-specific policies or onboarding partner products.
Users requiring more than 20 managed policies per role can request a quota increase up to 25 using Service Quotas.
The change is available in all commercial AWS Regions, AWS GovCloud (US), and China Regions, applying automatically with no action required.
