SourceAWS Elemental MediaConnect Router now supports configurable recovery latency modes
This update allows operators of latency-sensitive video workflows to reduce recovery time, ensuring more stable delivery for critical feeds.
- Provides customer control over internal connection latency between inputs and outputs instead of automatic service-set protocol latency
- Offers balanced mode for general use cases and low-latency mode for latency-sensitive workflows
- Configured per router output, allowing one input to feed multiple outputs with different latency requirements
- Introduces new CloudWatch metric RouteFabricRecoveryLatency for route latency visibility
- Configurable via MediaConnect API, AWS Management Console, and AWS CLI across all deployment regions
