SourceAmazon S3 Metadata and annotations are now available in AWS GovCloud (US) Regions
Government cloud users can better organize and search their data for AI agents and analytics tools without the need to maintain separate metadata systems.
- Amazon S3 Metadata and annotations became available in AWS GovCloud (US-East) and AWS GovCloud (US-West) Regions.
- S3 Metadata automatically captures system-defined details like object size and source and stores them in Amazon S3 Tables.
- Annotations allow attaching up to 1 GB of business context per object in JSON, XML, or YAML formats.
- Annotations are now available across all AWS Regions and AWS GovCloud (US) Regions.
