• Amazon CloudWatch Centralization now copies log group tags from source accounts to destination log groups created by centralization rules.
• Tag propagation automatically applies cost, ownership, and compliance tags maintained at the source to centralized log groups and keeps them in sync.
• Platform teams can preserve Application and CostCenter tags to scope access with IAM conditions and report centralized log spend in AWS Cost Explorer.
• The feature is available in all AWS Regions where CloudWatch Centralization is supported.
• Users can enable tag propagation via the Amazon CloudWatch console, AWS CLI, or AWS SDKs.
