Previewing the Model Hardware Standard \ Anthropic
Anthropic and HHMI Janelia Research Campus have introduced a research preview of the Model Hardware Standard (MHS). MHS is a shared specification that allows AI agents to safely operate and coordinate diverse physical devices such as robotic arms and microscopes.
Why it matters
By reducing hardware integration time from weeks to minutes, MHS enables researchers to run autonomous, round-the-clock experiments. This accelerates discovery and experimentation in fields like drug discovery and quantum computing.
