New ways to learn and teach with ChatGPT Work and Codex
OpenAI introduced three new education plugins for ChatGPT Work and Codex, designed to help K-12 teachers, college educators, and college students leverage agentic AI capabilities. The plugins are available through ChatGPT Edu and ChatGPT for Teachers district deployments.
Why it matters
This gives students and educators ready-to-use tools to apply AI to learning and teaching without building complex prompts themselves. Institutions retain control over permissions and privacy, while free access helps close the gap between what AI can do and how most college-age users actually use it.
