Educators & Teens Get Hands-On With TEMPO Data to Help Investigate Local Air Quality
From July 27–29, 2026, the CosmicDS project and Smithsonian’s BEST AQI hosted a Leadership Institute to train educators on using NASA's TEMPO-Lab tool. The initiative aims to help teens investigate local air quality using authentic NASA data.

- TEMPO-Lab offers near-real-time hourly pollution measurements across North America.
- Educators created case studies on wildfire smoke and traffic emissions for students.
- Participants will share the toolkit with approximately 100 additional educators.
