AWS has made role manager generally available in AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) to automatically configure IAM roles for supported AWS services.

• Role manager is a capability in AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) that automatically creates default IAM roles or reuses existing matching roles for AWS services.
• Deploys AWS-managed templates on behalf of users when configuring supported services in the console.
• Supports 6 AWS service consoles at launch, including AWS Lambda and Amazon EventBridge.
• Created roles appear as standard IAM roles in the IAM console that users fully control and can identify.
• Users can enable or disable role manager at any time, inspect deployed templates, or use IAM Access Analyzer to refine permissions.
• Available in all AWS Regions except AWS GovCloud (US) Regions and China Regions.
